Snapper is up in the estuaries and Marlin are full on with large numbers being caught!
Hi all,
The snapper have moved up into the harbour and estuaries and for the month of April the best fishing for snapper is up in the estuaries in less than 10 metres of water. It is the best time of the year to catch good sized snapper off the wharves and I have seen a number of nice pennies being landed from the Russell wharf.
We are having a blast with kingies at the moment with recent sessions seeing 20+ kingies being caught by our crews having a fantastic time.Only taking enough for a feed and the rest going back for another day.
The water temp is just beginning to cool slightly however the marlin are full on with large numbers of blues and stripeys being caught. The season is far from coming to an end and might well run to the end of May.
The weather is a bit up and down but there are some beautiful autumn days so get out there and get into it.
Tight lines.
